Who we are

Downers Grove Area FISH is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization which has served our local community since 1969. Our services include a food pantry, senior food delivery, and financial assistance.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to helping improve the quality of life for at-risk members of our community.


Our Commitment

Although DuPage County is the second-richest county in Illinois, more than 1 in every 10 adults is projected to be food insecure (source: Impact DuPage). 
DG Area FISH helps hundreds of families and individuals each year from Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Westmont, and Woodridge. We also coordinate with other organizations to best serve our clients. 
We depend on and appreciate donations from local communities, individuals, and organizations to fund our work. Our operating expenses are 4%, so 96% of all donations go directly to the people we serve.
